A yellow leaf or leaf drop of bottom leaves is absolutely normal and nothing to worry about. It is part of the life cycle of a plant.
Every now and then those natural events happening to our plants can indeed have a more worrying cause. Pests & Diseases.
The most common indoor plant pests is the Fungus. Gnat but not the most notorious here is a list of deadly plant pests.
Scale, Trips, Spider Mites, Whiteflys, Mealy Bugs and Aphids.

Mealybugs are insects in the family Pseudococcidae, unarmored scale insects found in moist, warm habitats. Many species are considered pests as they feed on plant juices of indoor plants and also act as a vector for several plant diseases.
When the eggs hatch, their feeding will cause leaves to turn yellow, damaged plants look withered and may have a sticky sap on the leaves or stems.
My success eliminating Mealy Bugs with 70% rubbing alcohol and q-tips.

Tetranychus urticae is a species of plant-feeding mite generally considered to be a pest. It is the most widely known red spider mite.
The damage caused by sucking sap appears as many shiny pale yellow marks on the top of the leaves.
Apply a pesticide specific to mites called a miticide every 7 days.

To make a spray, mix 1/2 to 1 cup of rubbing alcohol with 1 quart of water in a spray bottle.
Rubbing alcohol can burn the leaves of some house plants. To test it on your plant, dip a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and rub the swab on a leaf. Wait a day or two, and if the leaf shows injury choose a different method.
