The Queen of Anthuriums

If you are looking to add a plant that will drop jaws with its beauty and its name this is the plant. The Anthurium also know as “ The Queen “ has a velvet like texture to it with distinct diva like veinings. While the plant loves moisture, she does not like saturated media. Light, frequent watering is preferred to heavy soakings.
When properly supported the leaves can reach about 6' feet. Grown indoors the growth is usually around 3’feet.
A queen deserves a throne, I like to use candle holders as plant stand. It’s a unique and interesting way to elevate a plant in your space and highlight it. Make sure to choose a material that will not react when getting moist.
I grow my anthuriums either in orchid pots or in organic planters like egyptian clay and concrete.
The Queen is not a beginners plant. If you are still new to implemting plants as living decor I would recommend a Monstera Deliciosa to start your journey..
